Bauchi Speaker Felicitates Emir of Ningi on First Anniversary of Ascension

The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman (Dangaladiman Ningi, Barden Kudun Katagum), has congratulated the 17th Emir of Ningi, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Muhammad Ɗanyaya, on the occasion of his one-year anniversary on the throne.

The Emir, who was appointed in September 2024 by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, succeeded his late father, Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Ɗanyaya, as the eldest son of the revered dynasty.

In a statement signed by the Speaker’s spokesperson, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, Dr. Suleiman described the Emir’s first year on the throne as a significant milestone characterized by wisdom, cultural guardianship, and active leadership.

He noted that Emir Ɗanyaya has consistently demonstrated qualities of a father and leader by promoting peace, urging youth to shun immoral acts, and encouraging parents to take full responsibility for their families.

The Speaker further highlighted the Emir’s contributions to unity and development, stressing that his legacies—such as fostering farmer-herder harmony, promoting skill acquisition, and advocating for education—have distinguished Ningi Emirate among its peers.

“On behalf of all principal officers, honorable members, and staff of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, we celebrate a revered monarch, a father to the fatherless, and a beacon of peace whose leadership continues to inspire,” the Speaker stated.

He prayed for the Emir’s continued good health, long life, wisdom, and prosperity to enable him to keep impacting the people of Ningi, Bauchi State, and Nigeria at large.

Congratulations once again, Your Royal Highness.
