Bauchi Speaker Felicitates Governor Bala Mohammed on Eid-el Adha, Urges Unity and Prayers for Leaders

The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman (Ɗangaladiman Ningi), has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir (Kauran Bauchi), and the entire people of the state on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el Adha celebration.

In a goodwill message issued by his spokesperson, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, the Speaker called on citizens to remain united and to continually offer prayers for leaders at all levels, stressing that the progress and stability of the nation depend on collective responsibility and divine guidance.

“Eid should be a time for sober reflection,” the Speaker stated. “It’s a moment for believers to be grateful to Almighty Allah for His immeasurable blessings and to renew hope for a brighter future. Sacrifices made during this period should be done with sincere hearts, solely for the reward from Allah.”

He further urged wealthy individuals and the elite to extend support to their relatives, neighbors, and the less privileged during the festivities, emphasizing that kindness during such seasons strengthens social cohesion.

Rt. Hon. Suleiman also emphasized the importance of national unity beyond religious, ethnic, and regional lines. He encouraged citizens to be patriotic and to engage in activities that uplift the country’s dignity, progress, and economy. He warned against careless utterances and negative prayers directed at leaders, noting that such actions could have repercussions on the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

He also tasked leaders to be prudent, responsive, and committed to addressing the needs of the people, stating that leadership should be about service, not self-interest.

On behalf of Members and staff of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, the Speaker wished all residents of Bauchi State and Muslims across the country a peaceful and crime-free Eid celebration. He urged everyone to remain law-abiding, respect constituted authorities, and avoid any act that could tarnish the image of the state or the nation.

He also called on traditional rulers to work hand in hand with security agencies to ensure the protection of lives and property during and after the festive period.
