President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated former Vice President Namadi Sambo on his turbaning as the Sardaunan Zazzau by the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, held on Saturday, October 11.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the traditional title as one of great cultural and historical importance in Northern Nigeria, noting that it reflects the Emirate’s confidence in the former Vice President’s wisdom, integrity, and commitment to societal progress.
President Tinubu commended Sambo’s exemplary record of leadership, humility, and dedication to national development, emphasizing that the honour represents well-deserved recognition of his service to humanity and deep-rooted contributions to both community and nation.
The President also lauded the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, for sustaining the noble tradition of honouring distinguished individuals whose character, leadership, and patriotism embody the Emirate’s enduring values of unity, service, and integrity.
While wishing the former Vice President success in his new traditional role, President Tinubu urged him to continue mentoring and inspiring the younger generation, as well as to work closely with traditional and community leaders in advancing peace and development across the country.
