The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman (Dangaladiman Ningi), has extended relief support to victims of a recent fire outbreak in Warji Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, the Speaker said the gesture was aimed at cushioning the hardship faced by the affected families, noting that the tragedy required not only sympathy but immediate assistance to restore hope.
The relief package, valued at ₦3,249,000, comprised both food items and essential materials. These included 30 bags of rice, 30 cartons of spaghetti, 10 gallons of cooking oil, 10 bags of sugar, 30 mats, 60 thick blankets, and 70 sets of children’s clothes.
According to the Speaker, the intervention was borne out of a careful assessment of the victims’ immediate needs. He emphasized that his responsibility as a leader extends beyond his Ningi Constituency, covering all people in distress regardless of region, faith, or tribe.
Beneficiaries of the donation expressed deep appreciation, describing the assistance as timely and impactful. They also offered prayers for the Speaker’s continued success and future aspirations.
