Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman @ 55: Celebrating contemporary democratic hero

  Life is a gift endowed to human and other creatures by God, as it wanes, some are destined to be leaders while others as followers. It is therefore easy to find leaders steering the affairs in different pedestals but coming across selfless ones that prioritise the needs of people is rare.

 Bauchi State had seen several leaders that touched the lives of many, they frequently put their interest last while always striving for the masses to enjoy. One of such contemporary and noble leaders is Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman (Ɗangaladiman Ningi). He is kind to all, upright in behaviour, cordial in relation, hardworking in office and role model to limitless number of people.

   Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman is the Honourable Member representing the good people of Ningi Central and also the Speaker in the Bauchi State House of Assembly. He is a man whose agility to serve the populace is beyond measure, he attended institutions where he garnered ample experiences, skills and knowledge in other endeavours of life. Young Abubakar grew up in a home where philanthropic act to the masses was a daily routine, he assimilated such habit even before he became people's representative.

  After accomplishing academics, young Abubakar swung into active public service where he worked in various capacities and mostly in the Executive Arm of Government. The submissive nature of Abubakar, passion to help those engulfed by abject poverty and making idle youths useful are the rationales behind his decision of delving into politics. Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar is like a canopy that endures hit of scorching sun just to provide shade and comfort to others, many have taken him as role model because of his positive impacts on their lives to some close to them. 

   As a representative of Ningi people in the State Assembly, he was able to installed democratic dividends that halted the lingering hardship constituents have been experiencing. People of Ningi Central and Bauchi as a whole will continue to benefit from the projects executed and Bills presented by the Ɗangaladiman Ningi. In his five years of exemplary representation, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman has given hope to the hopeless, built legacies that will stand for years and reconstructed what were damaged by previous passive leaders.

  However, the first project he implemented after emerging victorious was supporting women with capitals for businesses, it was meant for them to have means of income and become financially stable. He moved on by distributing free sewing machines to all that undergone training he sponsored, also he provided inputs to several tea vendors in various wards of his constituency. Vibrant Rt. Hon Abubakar secured permanent working slot to youths of Ningi Central into Civil defence, Police force while others are joyfully working and earning monthly salaries from the State Government. 

  To make his constituents more transformed and up to standard, Ɗangaladiman Ningi built drainages to prevent flooding, constructed blocks of classroom and sponsored educational pursuit of many. He linked electricity to communities that spent years without the glimpse of light.

 More so, in the aspect of health, he paid the bills for free eyes operations at Makka Eye Hospital in Bauchi and covered medical bills of many in other hospitals. Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar during the Ramadan period provided well nourished foods to three hundred and fifty people on daily basis, over ten thousand people at the end were fed in totality.

 Few months ago, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman organised football competition titled 'Dangaladima Unity Cup' aimed at fostering unity amongst Ningi youth, it attracted players from far and near places. He bore the burdens of supplying complete set of jerseys and monetary gift to the winners alongside all that participated in the games. Factually, Rt. Hon. Abubakar is a leader whose elitism has never distance him from the people he represents, he mingles with constituents especially the poor in order to know their community challenges. Through doing that, he got hint on where to focus when it comes to the provision of social amenities.

  Today, marks a new era and moment to celebrate democratic hero who opens fresh chapters in life and striving to eradicate bedeviling problems of people. Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman is fifty five years old, many have come and gone but some are still remembered and interestingly he will never be forgotten in the history of Ningi, Bauchi and Nigeria at large. My hope is that Bills he presented and all assented by the Governor will be cherished and written with golden ink, the durable amenities in communities will continue to stand firm for generations to come. I am hopeful that the women and youth trained into various skills will teach others that are idle so as to make them useful members in societies like them.
