 In a landmark moment for Gombe State University, the institution proudly announced its first Indigenous Professor Emeritus, Professor Idris Muhammad, during its combined 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th convocation ceremony. The event, graced by the distinguished Chancellor of the University, Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar, the 3rd Emir of Gombe, marked a significant step forward for academia in the region.


At the ceremony, Gombe State University bestowed the esteemed title of Professor Emeritus upon Professor Idris Muhammad, a renowned expert in medical science.
