However, the current situation tells a different story. The suffering experienced by Nigerians today is unimaginable. While Nigeria is often referred to as the 'Giant of Africa,' the question arises: what features support this title? Presently, Nigeria bears the grim distinction of being the world capital of poverty. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, 71 million people live in extreme poverty, and 133 million are classified as multidimensionally poor. This reality contradicts the notion of Nigeria as a giant of the continent.
