Maulud: Governor Inuwa Yahaya Extends Warm Greetings to Muslims, Urges People To Draw Inspiration From Teachings Of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
On the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has extended his heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community in Gombe State and beyond, encouraging them to reflect upon the timeless virtues exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
This is in a statement ably signed by Director general, press affairs government house Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misili, Governor Inuwa Yahaya emphasized the significance of drawing inspiration from the teachings of the Prophet, which include principles of service, peaceful co-existence, and exemplary leadership.
The Governor stressed the importance of embodying values such as tolerance, humility, modesty, and generosity, all of which were hallmarks of the Prophet's life and teachings. He remarked, "As we commemorate this great day, let us continue to emulate the noble messenger of Allah in our actions, interactions, and relationships for the betterment of our society."
Governor Inuwa Yahaya also called for continued prayers for the peace, well-being, and prosperity of Gombe State and the entire nation. He stated, "The celebration of Maulud should strengthen our faith and unite us as a people, coming together to pray for unity, peace, progress, and stability in our beloved state and nation, as we strive for growth and development."
The Governor urged leaders and citizens alike to contribute their utmost efforts towards fostering peace, unity, development, and prosperity in society. He emphasized, "In this Eid-el-Maulud and always, let us all take a moment to reflect on the Prophet's teachings and strive to embody the values he left behind for the betterment of our society and the world."
Furthermore, Governor Inuwa Yahaya encouraged citizens not to lose hope in the face of current economic challenges, highlighting the government's commitment to various programs aimed at revitalizing the socio-economic landscape of both the state and the nation.
He stressed the need for tolerance among the diverse people of the state, urging everyone to uphold the relative peace and tranquility that Gombe State enjoys by avoiding actions that could jeopardize it.
