Governor Uba Sani's Eid-El-Maulud Pledge: Rekindling Hope and Harmony in Kaduna State
In a heartfelt message on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, Governor Uba Sani extended warm wishes to the Muslim faithful in Nigeria and particularly in Kaduna State. Acknowledging the challenges faced by the state, he expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for His blessings, protection, and guidance.
Governor Uba Sani assumed office on May 29, 2023, and marked his first Eid-El-Maulud celebration as the state's leader. In his address, he emphasized his administration's unwavering commitment to rebuilding trust within the communities of Kaduna State. He stressed that the people of Kaduna deserve peace and a harmonious environment to rebuild their lives and contribute to the state's economic development.
This year's Eid-El-Maulud celebration serves as an opportunity for citizens to embody the virtues of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). Governor Uba Sani highlighted the importance of love, tolerance, patience, justice, fairness, perseverance, and forgiveness, values upheld by the Holy Prophet. He drew parallels between the Prophet's unwavering commitment to his people despite trials and tribulations and the need for unity and reconciliation in Kaduna State.
The Governor urged the people of Kaduna to leave behind the unpleasant past, reach out to one another, and embrace dialogue as a means to resolve differences and rebuild peace and trust within communities. He emphasized that hate, distrust, and suspicion hinder progress and development and called for a united front against conflict entrepreneurs.
Governor Uba Sani also reiterated his administration's commitment to inter-faith dialogue and pledged support for the Kaduna State Peace Commission in resolving longstanding conflicts and promoting understanding among the state's diverse population. Security remained a priority, with ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with security agencies and enhance the capacity of the Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVS) to combat banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of criminality in the state.
Governor Uba Sani concluded by encouraged all Muslims to pray fervently for peace and progress in Nigeria, and Kaduna State in particular, while extending warm wishes for a peaceful and accident-free Eid-El-Maulud celebration.
