Gombe State Assembly Advances State Cabinet with Screening of 9 Commissioner-Nominees

In a significant move towards reshaping the leadership landscape of Gombe State, the Gombe State House of Assembly convened on Friday to undertake the screening of an additional 9 commissioner-nominees. This development comes in the wake of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's submission of 17 names for confirmation as members of the State Executive Council.
With the thorough scrutiny of these 9 individuals, the number of commissioner-nominees who have undergone the rigorous screening process has now reached 16. This crucial phase of selection aims to ensure that the state government is equipped with capable and dedicated leaders who will drive Gombe's progress.
The nine commissioner-nominees who faced the Assembly's scrutiny on this occasion are
Adamu Inuwa Pantami (Gombe): An individual with a proven track record in public service, Dr. Habu Dahiru (Y/Deba): Bringing a wealth of experience in the healthcare sector to the table and Dr Kallamu Maijama’a (Kwami): A nominee with expertise in Kwami's local affairs.
Also screened are, Hon. Muhammed Shetima Gadam (Kwami): A seasoned politician, Hon. Nasiru Aliyu (Y/Deba): A dedicated public servant with a focus on the Y/Deba community, Muhammed Gambo Magaji (Dukku): Known for his commitment to the development of Dukku and Mohammed Sa’idu Fawu (Billiri): A nominee with deep roots in the Billiri region.
Others are Salihu Baba Alkali (Nafada) and Hon. Sanusi Ahmed Maidala (Akko).
The Assembly's Adhoc committee, entrusted with the crucial responsibility of ensuring the thorough screening of commissioner-nominees, has effectively fulfilled its mandate for 16 of the 17 individuals nominated by Governor Yahaya. The remaining nominee's screening will be rescheduled, ensuring that each candidate receives the the scrutiny required to serve Gombe State effectively.
