Gombe Assembly Successfully Completes Screening of 17 Commissioner-Nominees

In a significant milestone, the Gombe State House of Assembly has successfully concluded the comprehensive screening process of 17 commissioner-nominees put forward by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for confirmation to the State Executive Council.
In a statement by Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency the Governor of Gombe state on Media, Safiyanu Danladi Mairiga says that the rigorous screening exercise, which began last Thursday, witnessed the thorough examination of seven nominees during the initial phase, followed by an additional nine candidates on Friday. Dr. Abdullah Bappah Garkuwa, whose screening had been rescheduled, was successfully screened today, thereby bringing the process to its conclusion.
Hon. Sadam Bello, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly and Chairman of the Adhoc committee overseeing the screening, expressed his satisfaction with the process, hailing it as a significant success. He took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to the nominees and all stakeholders for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout the exercise.
As the screening phase wraps up, Hon. Sadam Bello assured the public that the committee, along with the entire House, is poised to commence the vetting and confirmation process. The final confirmation of the nominees will be communicated to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya shortly, marking the next crucial step in shaping the State Executive Council.
