Bauchi State Governor Pledges to Enhance Royal Accommodation and Support Traditional Institutions

 



Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has reiterated the vital role played by royal fathers in the growth and development of Bauchi state and Nigeria as a whole. Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Emirs of Katagum, Misau, Ningi, Jama'are, and Dass, the governor emphasized his administration's commitment to improving the accommodation, transportation, and remuneration of traditional rulers. 

Governor Mohammed expressed his dedication to building on the progress made by his predecessors in ensuring that traditional institutions receive the support they deserve. He highlighted the importance of adequately compensating traditional rulers to prevent them from falling prey to the enticements of bandits or other unscrupulous individuals.

The governor praised the diligent efforts of the Emirs and other traditional leaders in carrying out their responsibilities, even in the face of limitations and challenges. He also reiterated his commitment to enhancing the living conditions of citizens.

In response, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Farouq II, commended Governor Mohammed for his vision and dedication to revitalizing traditional rulers and institutions. He stressed the significance of collaboration between these institutions and stakeholders in improving Nigeria's security and providing support to the people.

Governor Mohammed's commitment to enhancing traditional institutions reflects his belief in their crucial role in the development and stability of Bauchi state, as well as the entire nation.
