BAUCHI SPEAKER CELEBRATES VICTORY AS TRIBUNAL UPHOLDS HIS ELECTION

Bauchi State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman, is jubilant following a recent verdict from the Bauchi State Election Tribunal that solidified his position as the representative of Ningi Central Constituency. The tribunal's ruling, delivered today in Bauchi, dismissed the challenge to his election brought by Arch. Khalid Abdulmalik Ningi of the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing a lack of merit in the case. This ruling reaffirmed the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman.


The Speaker expressed his gratitude to the Election Tribunal for upholding justice and ensuring that democracy thrives, not only in Bauchi State but also across the nation. He attributed this triumph to divine intervention and thanked Almighty Allah for the win.


In addition to his praise for the tribunal, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman extended his gratitude to his legal team, led by Barr. AG Idris and Barr. Jonathan Adams, acknowledging their professionalism, dedication, and exceptional skills that played a pivotal role in securing this resounding victory.


In a spirit of unity and collaboration, Speaker Abubakar Y Suleiman extended a hand to his opponent, Arch. Khalid Abdulmalik Ningi, describing him as a brother and ally. He urged Ningi to join forces in propelling Ningi Central Constituency towards greater development and to support the development agenda of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad.


Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman also expressed his profound appreciation to the people of Ningi Central Constituency for reelecting him for a second term. He pledged to redouble his efforts in delivering more democracy dividends to the constituency.


This victory not only strengthens Speaker Abubakar Y Suleiman's position but also highlights the resilience of democratic institutions in ensuring fair and just electoral processes.
