The prevalence rate of road accident in present Nigeria

In Nigeria one of the loading cause of death is road accident which happens virtually every day. Road accident or any kind of accident happens by chance which are not planned by the accident, the cause lingered from reasons such as; over speeding, bad roads, lack of proper maintenance of vehicle, ignorance on part of the motorist, carelessness and so on.



However, this predicament call accident that occurs on our highways, streets, which occurs from motor vehicle, bicycle, motorbike and pedestrian is quite worrisome.


Road accident can be minimize to the lowest level but can not be totally eradicated, there are basically strategies that one needs to take into cognisance in other to adhere to the rules that would aid in averting road accident: avoiding haste, don't drive under alcohol influence, drive in consideration of other road users, good road network and maintenance, obey traffic law, and agencies should create awareness sensitization.


In trying to get to stick to what road law is and averting road accident some of the criterias or strategies for such are outline beforehand, so you need to know what to do and how to do for issues not arise in an impromptu manner.
