Governor Inuwa Condoles With Sheikh Hamza Abdulhamid Over Father's Death



Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with the Chairman of Gombe State Council of Ulamas of the Izalatil Bid'ah wa Iqamatisunnah,  Sheikh Hamza Adam Abdulhamid, over the demise of his father,  Sheikh Adamu Abdulhamid Usman. 


A statement by the Director general, press affairs of government house, Ismaila Uba Misilli readsa that the late Islamic scholar, aged 97, died today in Gombe after a brief illness. 


Governor Inuwa,  who led a government delegation to attend the funeral prayer ( Janazah) held at the Shagon Goro Izala Mosque no. 1, new commercial area, Gombe,  described the late cleric as an embodiment of humility and scholar of note who led a life of service to God and humanity.


He said the late Sheikh Adamu will be remembered for his uprightness and sterling contributions to the development of Islam and community service.


The Governor,  on behalf of the Government and people of Gombe State,  extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members,  the leadership of the Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah wa Iqamatisunnah and the Islamic community in general over the great loss.  


He prayed Almighty Allah to  reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.  


Governor Inuwa was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government,  Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi,  Chief of Staff Government House,  Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Commissioners,  Special Advisers and other top government officials.
