 August 28, 2023  In an effort to address concerns about rising immoral and criminal activities within nightclubs, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has issued a groundbreaking directive, ordering the immediate closure of all 'Gala Houses' in Gombe State. The announcement was made by Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the Secretary to the State Government, through the Director-General press affairs government house, Gombe, who emphasized that the decision was prompted by numerous complaints from the public about the continuous breach of law and order within these entertainment venues. From our unique customs and traditions to our rich history, the North is a region that has stood the test of time and remains a force to be reckoned with in the country. Growing up in the North, I was exposed to a way of life that was vastly different from other parts of Nigeria. I was taught to respect my elders, to honor my ancestors, and to always put family first. These values have stayed with me throughout my life and have helped shape the person I am today.
